Occupational Health and Safety

Buildplan has a strong record and culture when it comes to the safety of all stakeholders and third parties in contact with our projects. In short, OHS and the management of these issues is our Priority when it comes to delivering projects. Buildplan has an accredited OHS&R System meeting the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2000 and Regulation 2001, AS/NZ 4801:2001. Contract Quality Plans are individually prepared for each project that containing the Buildplan Site Specific Safety Management Plan. A copy of our Corporate Occupational Health & Safety Management System is available on request.

Quality

Buildplan delivers projects using an integrated systematic approach which complies with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems. This is a registered third party accredited system which covers the Quality Management System for the provision of project management services including design management, contract administration and construction management of projects.

Environmental Management

Since 2002 we have implemented our Environmental Management System (EMS) which was accredited by the NSW Department of Commerce in 2006. To extend our systems further our Environmental Management System was third party accredited to ISO 14001:2004 in 2007. Buildplan have successfully delivered a number of Green Star Accredited projects for Charles Sturt University, the University of New England and Southern Cross University. The EMS refers to on-site environmental management, waste management, monitoring, efficient building use, commissioning and preparation of user manuals which detail the most efficient use of the systems, services and passive design aspects for the end users.
