Colin Clark Building BEL Learning Centre

Buildplan were the successful tenderer for the Colin Clark BEL Learning Centre project with works commencing in November 2009. The works included the complete demolition of the existing fitout on the ground floor to make way for a new collaborative learning and student interactive space.

The project includes a number of breakouts to the adjacent main building courtyard area where a new roof and outdoor seating areas were constructed. These areas, combined with both flexible and structured internal learning spaces which include purpose built furniture and detailed exposed timber elements throughout provides students with a high quality learning environment.

During the construction of the works all existing building services were required to be maintained as was access to the remainder of the teaching and learning spaces.

This great result was achieved by a committed project team, coupled with an excellent working relationship with both the building manager and the client project manager.
